I want to talk about protein shakes. I am frequently asked by personal training clients if they should take these, and if so, which are the best.
Your body requires protein to repair itself and support the development of lean muscle mass. Consuming protein straight after a workout is especially effective for encouraging fat loss and developing metabolic activity. However, since carrying around 200g of chicken as a post-workout snack, high protein shakes have become increasingly popular.
Personally, I buy mine from MyProtein.com and have one after every gym session. These have helped give my body all the nutrients I need to stay lean and fit.
